Absolutely safe. MINHNGOCKL hideaway caves are made from 100% natural, high-quality terracotta. This material is chemically inert, contains no harmful toxins, will not fade, and will absolutely not alter the pH or water parameters in your tank.

Before placing them in your aquarium, simply rinse the caves under clean tap water to remove any dust caused by shipping. If you want to be extra cautious, you can boil the caves in water for 5-10 minutes to completely sterilize them.

Our caves are designed with optimal shapes (Oval, D-shape, round tubes) that are perfectly suited for Plecos, Corydoras, loaches, dwarf Cichlids, and even ornamental shrimp. They provide a safe hiding spot and an ideal breeding environment.

To stimulate breeding, the ideal cave should be just slightly larger than the male Pleco's body. A snug and narrow space helps the male feel completely secure and makes it easier for him to keep the female inside during the spawning process.

You should place the caves at the bottom of the tank in a quiet, shaded area away from direct, bright light. The best approach is to camouflage them under aquatic plants, between rocks, or underneath driftwood. Make sure to face the cave opening away from strong water currents coming from your filter.
